Tec, activated
N-terminal 6His-tagged recombinant, human Tec amino acids 174-end. Autoactivated by incubating with Mg/ATP, excess ATP and MgAc removed by gel filtration.
Biological information
Background
TEC is involved in G protein-coupled receptor- and integrin-mediated signalings in blood platelets. It plays a role in hepatocyte proliferation and liver regeneration and is involved in HGF-induced ERK signaling pathway. TEC regulates also FGF2 unconventional secretion (endoplasmic reticulum (ER)/Golgi-independent mechanism) under various physiological conditions through phosphorylation of FGF2 'Tyr-215'. May also be involved in the regulation of osteoclast differentiation.
GenBank NM_003215. The recombinant protein contains the amino acid substitution F514V with reference to NM_003215. F514V is reported inGenBank CB985022.
