Background
DDTAC or Dodecylmercapto-S-(poly(tris(hydroxymethyl)acrylamidomethane) DPn=6 solubilizing reagent is a non-ionic detergent that can be used to solubilize, extract and stabilize membrane proteins (GPCRs, Ion channels, Transporters, ….). DDTAC is in a powder application and is used in an aqueous solution or buffer. DDTAC can be coupled with biological elements (biological membranes). Our clients use DDTAC to help create lipids-detergents mixed micelles, and protein detergent micelles. DDTAC extract high-quality membrane proteins used for research, drug discovery including structural studies and are adapted for use in pharmaceutical, biotechnology companies, as well as for academic teams (biochemists, structural biologists, pharmacologists, virologists) involved in the life science fields.
