HIPK3, active Human Recombinant Kinase Protein
N-terminal 6His-tagged recombinant, human HIPK3 amino acids 161-562.
Biological information
Background
Homeodomain-interacting protein kinase 3 (HIPK3), a serine/threonine kinase, has been described as a member of a family of nuclear kinases that act as co-repressors for homeodomain transcription factors. HIPK3 can activate p53-mediated transcriptional regulation of MDM2 and antagonize Myc/Ras-induced transformation. HIPK3 may play an important role in the regulation of p53 apoptotic function. Inhibition of HIPK3 may inhibit apoptosis and facilitate tumorigenesis.
