CleavX HRV-3C Protease

CleavX HRV-3C Protease is a recombinant human rhinovirus 3C protease expressed in E. coli and purified by immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) to high purity (≥95%). The enzyme specifically recognizes and cleaves the LEVLFQ↓G/X motif with high catalytic efficiency, enabling precise removal of affinity or solubility tags from fusion proteins without leaving non-native residues. The protease is supplied in a Tris-NaCl buffer containing glycerol and DTT, ensuring stability and preserving activity under standard storage and reaction conditions. Functional characterization demonstrates >95% cleavage of model substrates within 16 hours at 4 °C in PBS, making it well-suited for workflows that require low-temperature processing, such as preparation of proteins for structural or functional studies.
